Executive Summary: PET PAD

Mission Statement
To supply the consumer pet market with an effective method of protecting furniture while simplifying the pet hair disposal process.

The Situation
Domesticated dogs and cats notoriously establish their 'own spot' on household furniture. As the owners of these pets know, this spot can be an area of excess wear, staining and, in particular, hair and dander build up. Despite the continued growth of the pet product market, no simple solution has been introduced to protect the furnishings and simplify the clean up of layers of shed hair. Some pet owners use blankets that require frequent vacuuming and washing. These blankets and their accumulated pet hair tend to be tough on automatic washers on dryers.

Product Description
PET PAD  is a thin disposable pad, which can be placed on furniture where pets sit and lie most. The PET PAD has a very light adhesive backing that won't damage furniture and secures the pad in place. The topside is comfortable for the pet and attracts and maintains pet hair. When hair accumulates the PET PAD can be disposed of and replaced with a new one.

PET PAD has been used in automobiles and when traveling. Could be a great idea for Hotels and Motels. A very useful product for anywhere pets might visit!

Objectives
The developers of PET PAD are willing to license the manufacturing and distribution rights to qualified organizations. An outright sale of the Granted Patent may also be considered. Interested organizations should be capable of accessing the appropriate consumer markets with the product.

Intellectual Property Protection
PET PAD is the subject of a Granted  United States Patent and pending application in Canada. Other territories are being considered.
