Innovative
Licensing & Promotion, Inc. was founded in 1998 by Mr.
Vincent Paul Kehoe. Mr. Kehoe has been involved with new
product development, marketing
and patenting since 1991. He is the former
Executive Vice President of the Copyright Inventions and
Patents Association of Canada and has spoken on new product
development across the country including for the BC
Inventors Society and numerous television and radio
programs.
In his words,
"...Innovative was
created to simplify the new product development and
patenting process..."
Mr. Kehoe's philosophy was to
focus the greatest amount of effort on the promotion
of the new product. This 'industry leading' approach
resulted in the successful licensing of its very first
product, and many more since.
"Too many invention companies
focus on the development and services, and not enough on the
promotion of the idea... things happen when you are on the
phone and the idea is put in front of the right companies
and the right people."
Mr. Kehoe,
still, personally, attends to all the promotion and
patenting activities
of its client's products.
This aggressive approach to new
product development has made Innovative one of the most
successful product development and patenting agencies in North America. Innovative's
patent
portfolio is included in this website and all of Innovative's
clients are available as references. In addition, Innovative
is trusted by many law firms, designers and patent lawyers as a reliable invention,
patenting and product
development resource.
Vince Kehoe also realized that
every project and client is different. Every project is
reviewed and assessed, individually, to determine the best
patent and product development strategy, budget and expectation for the product. Innovative
and its consultants cater to the individual inventor by
offering financing options and simple inexpensive methods of
patenting, developing and promoting a new idea. One warning though; Innovative's success comes from working on new ideas that
pass its evaluation process, and, unfortunately finds itself
turning down products that do not appear to have tremendous
potential based on its evaluation criteria.
"... in new product development
and patenting, it's always tough to say
what will be the next big winner. But one thing is certain,
successful products usually have a good sized market,
combined with inexpensive manufacturing and limited
competition."
